'06 Crew Organizing

Venture Crew One conducts August 24^th Joining Meeting 

22 August 2003 -- Venture Crew One announced today the continuing organization of its '06 Crew of high school sophomores for the 2003-2004 school year.  The organizational meeting is scheduled for 24 August 2003, at Tarrytown United Methodist Church Chapel (northeast corner of Exposition and Greenlee in Austin, Texas).

Participation in the '06 Crew program is for high school sophomores - both young women and men.  The first activity for this Crew was a rafting trip down the Guadalupe on September 20 at Gruene and dinner following.

Venture Crew One is sponsored by Tarrytown United Methodist Church and charter by the BSA Capital Area Scout Council.  The 70+-member high adventure Scouting organization is one of many high adventure outdoor wilderness crews chartered nationwide by BSA.  Venture Crew One's program focus is backpacking and other wilderness activities.
