Crew Member Sign-up Requirement

An eligible Prospective Crew member completes the following:

• BSA Venturer Application - both front page and health history on the reverse side (obtain from BSA Scout Office, Crew member, the Crew Advisor or the Church). 
• Directory and E-mail Info Sheet
• Campout Contract (Parent Participation on reverse side)
• No-Show/Tent Rental Agreement
• Optional T-shirt Order form

Parent or Guardian of Prospect completes the following:

• Approval of Parents or Guardians Release
• Parent Participation Survey
• Sign health history on the back-side of  BSA Venturer Application

Include an $85 check payable to "Venture Crew One"

Mail or deliver to the Crew Advisor or the  address below.

Participation Expense

Crew members joining Venture Crew One pay $30 initial year dues, $15 tent/no-show fee deposit (the deposit is applied to Senior year dues), a first year only equipment use fee of $40 and free V-Crew One long-sleeve, cotton crew shirt ($85 total fee).  The V-Crew shirt serves as Venture Crew One's "uniform".  Current dues for each member's junior and senior year are $30 per school year.  In addition, all Crew members pay a camp-out use fee for each trek they sign-up to attend.  The fees for each trek are adequate to cover Venture Crew One's cost of the trek.  Any First Class or above Scout seeking advancement in Venture Crew One, instead of the Scout troop he transferred from, will also pay a $10 per year advancement fee. 

In addition to covering Venture Crew One annual dues and the equipment fee, the $85 initial fee covers:  a) a backpacking skills handbook, b) the Crew One Roster and c) the Crew Manual.  Annual dues cover the operating costs of the Crew, BSA National Venture Crew dues, and supplemental insurance coverage.  Additional V-Crew One long-sleeve, cotton crew shirts for other family members may also be purchased for $15 and s.
