Crew Member Sign-up Requirement

An eligible Prospective Crew member completes the following forms by down-loading the following PDF file:

            

bulletDirectory and E-mail Info Sheet and Optional T-shirt Order form
bulletCampout Contract
bulletNo-Show/Tent Rental Agreement (will be applied to pay Senior Year dues) w/ deposit account sheet
bulletBSA Youth Membership Application (original + one copy) located on p. 5 of the following BSA link:

bulletBSA Health & Medical Record (Parent completes Part A&C [located on p. 2 & 4] annually and before attending the first backpack; Physician completes Part B [located on p. 3] one-time before attending a week-long backpack). The form is located at the following BSA link:

Parent or Guardian of Prospect completes the following (from the down-loaded PDF file listed bove):

Include an $85 check payable to "Venture Crew One" which pays for:

bullet$40 - Equipment Fee
bullet$30 - First Year Annual Dues
bullet$15 - No-Show/Tent Rental Deposit

Participation Expense

Crew members joining Venture Crew One pay $30 initial year dues, $15 tent/no-show fee deposit (the deposit is applied to Senior year dues), a first year only equipment use fee of $40 and free V-Crew One long-sleeve, cotton crew shirt ($85 total fee).  The V-Crew shirt serves as Venture Crew One's "uniform".  Current dues for each member are $30 per school year (except the tent/no-show fee deposit pays the Senior Year dues).  In addition, all Crew members pay a camp-out use fee for each trek they sign-up to attend.  The fees for each trek are adequate to cover Venture Crew One's cost of the trek.  Any First Class or above Scout seeking advancement in Venture Crew One, instead of the Scout troop he transferred from, will also pay a $10 per year advancement fee. 

In addition to covering Venture Crew One annual dues and the equipment fee, the $85 initial fee covers:  a) a backpacking skills handbook, b) the Crew One Roster and c) the Crew Manual.  Annual dues cover the operating costs of the Crew, BSA National Venture Crew dues, and supplemental insurance coverage.  Additional V-Crew One long-sleeve, cotton crew shirts for other family members may also be purchased for $20.
