Weminuche Wilderness (Southwest Colorado, south of Silverton, CO)
	1000 miles each way (2 day drive)

	Day 1 (Fri) - Austin to Palo Duro Canyon State Park - near Canyon, Texas.
	Day 2 (Sat) - to Mesa Verde, CO.  Camp at Moorefield campsite
	Day 3 (Sun) - to Silverton, CO.  Take the Silverton-Durango Narrow Gauge RR south to backpacking drop-off spot.  Camp at tracks.
	Day 4 (Mon) - Backpack 7 miles to high meadow Chicago Basin in Weminuche.  Set up base camp and spend the night.
	Day 5 (Tue) - Relax; check-out Big Horn sheep and witness hail storm at dinner.
	Day 6 (Wed) - Day-hike to top of Columbine Pass and view Vallecito approach from the southeast
	Day 7 (Thu) - Day-hike to within 880 feet of the top of Windom Peak (14,082).
	Day 8 (Fri) - Pack-up, trek to SDNGRR pick-up spot and return on train to Silverton.  On to Uray hot tubs and Crested Butte for dinner at Slogars.  Spend the night at CB International Youth Hostel.
	Day 9 (Sat) - to Arkansas River - but missed  Parkdale 1/2 day raft trip.  Back in the vans to Amarillo for the night at the Scout Hut.
	Day 10 (Sun) - AUSTIN!!  Super trek, great road trip.
